Human Computer Interfaces

This video is a presentation of my final project. It was developed for CRV(centre de realidad virtual) of UPC(Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya). It consists on two intuitive and new ways of navigating throw a virtual reality environment. In this case a immersive one with stereoscopic vision. The first one is a tracking device on the wheels of this portable system. By moving the system around the room, the virtual world moves according to the real displacement. The second one is a device based on the capture of two webcams that creates a 3D coordinate system and tracks the finger of the user. The user can rotate objects or navigate in the environment by pointing to the desired position. the closer to the screen the faster the movement.
